Essential Requirements (KHDA & School Compliance)
- British Curriculum Experience
- Proven experience teaching the UK National Curriculum (EYFS, Primary, or Secondary)
Teaching Qualifications
- QTS, PGCE, BEd, or equivalent
- Degree must be subject-matched for Secondary roles
- Minimum 2 years teaching experience preferred
- Attested Academic Documents
All certificates must be attested by:
- Ministry of Education (country of study)
- Ministry of Foreign Affairs
- UAE Embassy (country of study)
- UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Includes:
- Bachelor’s degree
- PGCE/BEd/QTS certificates
- Transcripts (if available)
Safeguarding & Child Protection Requirements
- Clean police clearance from home country (or last 5 years of residence)
- UAE Police Clearance (completed after hiring)
- Strong professional references, including the most recent Headteacher/Principal
- Full employment history with gaps explained
- Identity verification (passport, visa, etc.)
- English Language Proficiency
- Native English speakers accepted
- Non-native teachers may require IELTS 6.5+ (Academic)
- Medical Fitness
- Ability to pass the Dubai mandatory medical fitness test
Professional Expectations
- Strong behaviour management and safeguarding awareness
- Experience supporting EAL learners
- Familiarity with KHDA, Ofsted, or Cambridge standards is an advantage
- Commitment to high-quality teaching, continuous improvement, and whole-school development
